A pair of mid-century modern Windsor-style dining chairs manufactured by Ercol and designed by Lucian Ercolani. Each chair is constructed with a solid elm seat displaying prominent, figured grain, set within a beech wood frame. The design features a steam-bent curved top rail supporting six vertical spindles. The shaped plank seats are supported by four tapered legs, reinforced with H-pattern stretchers. A small orange rectangular sticker with handwritten characters 7 7 is present on the upper rail of one chair. No manufacturer marks or stamps are visible.
Condition report:
The chairs are in used vintage condition. There is visible wear to the finish throughout, particularly concentrated on the seats and top rails. Notable surface scratches, small indentations, and areas of finish loss are present on both pieces. No visible signs of structural repair or damage to the spindles are noted.
