Lot 673: Two Victorian Style Brass Table Lamps including an Oil Lamp and an Electric Lamp
A lot comprising two table lamps of brass-coloured metal construction. The first is a traditional paraffin oil lamp featuring a circular pedestal base, a cylindrical reservoir, and a burner assembly with twin adjustment wheels. The adjustment wheels bear manufacturer stamps that are not clearly legible. This lamp is fitted with a clear glass chimney. The second is an electric table lamp with a fluted central column and a stepped circular base. It is fitted with a large, spherical amber glass shade featuring a repeating faceted textured pattern. This lamp is equipped with a modern white PVC flex and a standard UK three-pin plug.

Condition report:
Both items show signs of age and use. The metal surfaces exhibit general oxidation, surface scratches, and a dulling of the original lustre. The electric lamp has been rewired with modern components. The clear glass chimney and the amber textured shade appear to be intact without significant cracks or large chips visible, although minor fleabites to the ground rims are typical for items of this age. This lot is sold as an auction collectible. All electrical items must be professionally PAT tested by a qualified electrician before being connected to a mains supply.
