A trio of vintage garden gnome ornaments constructed from weathered cast stone. The collection comprises two gnomes standing behind integral wheelbarrow-style planter vessels and a third gnome depicted in a seated or crouching pose. Each figure features traditional characteristics including pointed hats, full beards, and tunics. The surfaces retain remnants of original polychrome paint, with red pigment visible on the hats and traces of blue-grey on the garments. The pieces exhibit a heavy natural patina from outdoor exposure, including extensive moss and lichen growth, particularly to the seated figure. These ornaments are formed from solid reconstituted stone.
Height approximately 30cm – 45cm.
Condition report:
All items show significant signs of weathering and age consistent with outdoor use. Visible defects include surface erosion, pitting, and various small chips and losses to the stone. The original painted finishes are heavily worn and flaking. There is substantial natural moss and lichen encrustation across all three figures.
