Lot 626: A George III Style Flame Mahogany Chest-on-Chest
A 20th-century mahogany chest-on-chest, also known as a tallboy, designed in the George III style. The piece is constructed in two sections. The upper section features a moulded cornice above two short drawers and three long, graduated drawers. The lower section contains two further long, graduated drawers. The drawer fronts are faced with flame mahogany veneers and are fitted with brass ring pulls on circular backplates. The chest rests on traditional bracket feet. The construction features a slightly stepped-in upper profile typical of the form. A small white inventory label with the number 2 is present on the top left drawer.

Condition report:
The chest is in good, well-maintained condition overall. There is some visible surface dust and light cosmetic wear, including minor scuffing to the bracket feet and fine surface scratches consistent with age and domestic use. There is no evidence of major structural damage or significant restoration.
