Lot 599: A Three-Slat Garden Bench with Cast Iron Scrolled Ends
A traditional garden or park bench constructed with two cast iron end supports and three wide horizontal wooden slats. The cast iron frames feature a simple scroll design at the armrests and terminals. The wooden slats are secured to the metalwork with bolts. An orange rectangular adhesive label is present on the upper portion of the left-hand iron support, though no maker name is legible.

Condition report:
The bench is in weathered, as-found condition. The white paint on the wooden slats is significantly flaking and peeling, revealing the greyed, weathered wood underneath. The black-painted cast iron ends exhibit surface oxidation and rust, particularly at the joints and points of contact with the wood. The piece appears structurally sound but requires comprehensive restoration, including sanding and repainting of all components.
