Lot 585: An early 20th-century oak three-compartment sectional bookcase unit
An early 20th-century dark-stained oak bookcase or shelving component, designed as part of a modular or stacking library system. The unit features three fixed-width vertical compartments separated by internal dividers. The front edges of the frame and the internal dividers are finished with a simple rounded moulding. The flat top and bottom edges suggest its function as a stackable component. The interior displays a dark-stained finish over the natural oak grain. A small, rectangular paper label is present on an internal divider, although the text is not legible.
