Lot 427: Johnsons of Hendon Ltd Manual 12 Inch Wooden Paper Guillotine
This is a vintage manual lever-action paper guillotine manufactured by Johnsons of Hendon Ltd. The device is constructed with a rectangular wooden base and a steel cutting mechanism. A black manufacturer label is affixed to the right side of the wooden base, bearing the name Johnsons of Hendon Ltd and a central diamond logo. The unit features a turned wooden handle on a steel blade arm and a spring-loaded hinge. An integrated wooden ruler guide is mounted on the left side, marked with an inch scale from 1 to 12. Two adhesive paper tags are present on the surface, one yellow marked 427 and one white marked 7 7.

Condition report:
In fair vintage condition. The wooden base shows significant surface wear, including scratches and dark stains. Metal components, including the blade arm, cutting edge, and spring mechanism, exhibit extensive surface oxidation and rust. The wooden handle is secure but darkened from use. The item requires cleaning to remove accumulated dust and adhesive residue.
