Lot 394: Mid-Century Modern Pink Fluted Glass Table Lamp Base
A mid-century modern table lamp base constructed from translucent pink glass. The body features deep vertical ribbing and tapers from a bulbous shoulder down to a flared circular foot. The lamp is fitted with a chrome-finished metal B22 bayonet bulb holder featuring an integrated black plastic push-switch. The item is wired with a white two-core electrical flex. No maker’s marks or signatures are present on the glass or metal components.
Height: 35cm – 40cm (approximate).
Condition report:
The glass body is in good structural condition with no visible chips or cracks. There is a layer of surface dust and light grime present, particularly within the fluting and on the base. The metal hardware shows minor surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with age. The electrical components are present but have not been tested; it is recommended that this item be inspected by a qualified electrician prior to use.
