This lot comprises two decorative wall items. The first is an oval wall mirror in the Louis XVI style. The ornate frame is finished in a gilt-gold colour and features elaborate scrolling acanthus leaves, floral motifs, and a prominent foliate crest at the apex. The second item is a three-dimensional shadow-box style wall hanging depicting a lady in a Victorian-style pink fabric dress with white lace and bead trimmings, mounted against a black backing within a rectangular gilt-finished frame. Both items feature adhesive lot labels and price stickers to the glass surfaces.
Condition report:
The mirror plate displays surface dust, grime, and haziness, with some minor foxing to the silvering. The mirror frame shows surface dust and light wear with small losses to the gilt finish on the raised mouldings. The shadow box picture shows general surface dust and light handling wear to the frame edges.
