An Arts and Crafts period cylindrical floor vessel, designed as an umbrella stand or large floor-standing vase. The body is constructed from hand-planished copper, featuring a dense and uniform hammered texture across the entire surface. It is fitted with a polished brass flared rim and a matching stepped brass pedestal base. The piece demonstrates the decorative contrast between the warm tones of the copper and the bright brass mounts typical of the period. No maker’s marks, hallmarks, or labels are present on the exterior.
Weight: >2kg.
Condition report:
The copper body retains an original aged patina with visible green verdigris oxidation concentrated within the recessed hammer marks. The polished brass rim and base show light surface scratches, tarnish, and signs of handling consistent with age and domestic use. No major dents or structural damage are visible.
