Lot 389: A Collection of Hornby Dublo 3-Rail Model Railway Locomotives, Rolling Stock, and Accessories
This collection of Hornby Dublo 00 gauge model railway equipment features items of die-cast metal and tinplate construction designed for a 3-rail electric system. The lot includes two Duchess class locomotives: a Duchess of Atholl in LMS maroon livery, housed in its original but damaged cardboard box, and an unboxed Duchess of Montrose in British Railways green livery, displaying running number 46232 and the early lion-on-wheel emblem. The assortment of rolling stock comprises various goods wagons and tankers, including an LMS 12T van (608344), two silver Esso petrol tankers, a red Royal Daylight Paraffin tanker, a brown Brick open wagon (M485325) lettered Empty to Fletton, and a grey 30T bogie bolster wagon (M720550). Also present are passenger coaches in maroon and teak liveries. Trackside accessories include a boxed Hornby Dublo single colour light signal and a yellow gantry-style footbridge. The items are stored within a vintage fibreboard suitcase featuring a geometric chevron-patterned lining in purple and white.
