Lot 362: A Pair of Prinz 10 x 50 Binoculars with Hardshell Carrying Case
A pair of Prinz 10 x 50 Porro prism binoculars manufactured in Japan. The instrument is constructed with a black metal body featuring a textured leatherette grip. The left ocular housing is inscribed in white 10 X 50 with a small s symbol below. The right ocular housing is inscribed PRINZ and MADE IN JAPAN. The central hinge incorporates a focus wheel and a diopter scale marked from 60 to 70. A black plastic neck strap is attached to the body. The binoculars are supplied with a black textured hardshell carrying case featuring a red velvet-style lining and a metal flip-latch closure.
Condition report:
The binoculars show significant paint loss and wear to the black finish on the metal edges and objective lens rims. Surface dust and grime are present across the body. The lenses exhibit internal dust and light surface haze. The plastic neck strap shows wear and creasing. The carrying case is externally scuffed and has an orange price sticker and a white label numbered 14 adhered to the front. The red interior lining is faded and shows wear from contact. Lens caps are missing.
