A large cylindrical fireside bucket or coal scuttle, featuring a hand-hammered planished copper body and a coordinating hammered brass lid. The lid is surmounted by a decorative tiered cast brass finial. The vessel is constructed with cast brass handle mounts and fittings, exhibiting an Arts & Crafts influence through its hand-beaten texture and contrasting metallic tones. No maker marks or hallmarks are visible on the piece.
