A circular silver plated serving tray or salver of Rococo revival design. The piece features a raised gadrooned rim and an intricately chased and engraved well decorated with scrolling acanthus foliage, floral sprays, and panels of lattice diaper work. This ornate border surrounds a plain, circular mirror polished central medallion. The tray is composed of silver plated white metal, likely electro plated nickel silver. Two adhesive labels are present on the face. No manufacturer marks are visible on the upper surface.
Condition report:
The tray is in good overall condition. The plain central medallion shows light surface scratching and minor scuffs commensurate with age and use. Two adhesive labels are adhered to the surface which may require careful removal. The silver plating is well preserved with no visible signs of base metal bleeding. No notable dents or deep scratches are present.
