A disassembled early to mid-20th century doll of composition construction. The lot comprises a detached head, a torso, and four jointed limbs, all finished with a glossy lacquer. The head is fitted with a brown wig, glass sleeping eyes with lashes, and an open mouth revealing upper teeth. Accompanied by a pair of brown buckled doll shoes and an assortment of knitted garments. One garment bears a St Michael cloth label, a brand associated with the British retailer Marks & Spencer. The items are contained within a blue vintage suitcase with a quilted interior lining.
Condition report:
The doll is presented in a completely disassembled state and requires full restringing. Significant surface wear, scuffing, and loss to the painted finish are visible across the composition torso and limbs. A metal attachment hook is present on one leg joint. The wig is matted and the face exhibits surface grime. The accompanying clothing and suitcase show wear consistent with age and use.
