Lot 313: Annie Soudain and Christopher Robinson, A Collection of Artworks (Signed)
A collection of artworks comprising various media and still life subjects. The group includes a colour print by Annie Soudain titled ‘Winter Pansies’, inscribed ‘A/P’ for artist’s proof and signed in pencil to the lower margin. Also included is a large mixed media drawing on paper titled ‘Sunflowers’, dated ’90’ and signed ‘Christopher Robinson’ in pencil. The collection further features an unframed impressionistic oil on board depicting apples on a white cloth; a framed oil on board of bread and cheese on a wooden table; and a framed watercolour or gouache on paper depicting a floral bouquet in a blue and white vase with fruit on a patterned tablecloth. The works are presented in a variety of gilt and wooden frames.
Condition report:
The collection is in generally good condition. Minor scuffs and abrasions are visible on the frame edges. The artworks themselves appear well-preserved; the works on paper show no significant signs of foxing or discolouration, and the paint surfaces of the oils are stable. The unframed oil on board has minor wear to the corners and edges.
