Lot 286: 24 Piece Chilton Tea Party Set in Original Box
A vintage Chilton child’s tea party set consisting of twenty-four pieces of moulded plastic playware. The collection is housed in its original pictorial retail box with a yellow cardboard display insert. The set includes white cups and plates decorated with blue line-art of a smiling sun character, alongside solid blue plastic components including saucers and a teapot. The outer packaging features a clear plastic display window and is printed with colourful motifs including balloons and ice cream cones. A pink vertical banner is inscribed 24 PCS. TEA PARTY.
Condition report:
The set appears unused but several items have shifted within the internal packaging. The original cardboard box shows significant signs of age and shelf wear, including creasing, scuffing to the edges, and blunting to the corners. The plastic window is intact but displays surface scratching and dust. A central circular cutout in the yellow cardboard insert is empty. The plastic pieces may require cleaning.
