Lot 268: An Assortment of Ceramic Kitchenware and Glassware including Royal Worcester and Vista Alegre
This collection comprises various pieces of oven-to-table ware, kitchen ceramics, and glassware. The lot features a Royal Worcester Herbs rectangular earthenware dish, decorated with botanical transfer prints of blue flowers and white daisies, finished with a green-lined rim. Included is a white porcelain pedestal soup tureen by Vista Alegre, featuring a domed lid with a foliate finial and matching foliate handles. The collection further contains a large earthenware mixing bowl with a yellow-glazed fluted exterior and a cream-glazed interior. Glassware is represented by a clear cut-glass bowl with a diamond and fan-cut pattern and a deeply scalloped rim. Additional items include a stack of white ceramic plates with scalloped borders, a white ribbed soufflé dish, and multiple small white ceramic utility bowls. Several items bear orange adhesive labels with the handwritten digits 268. A small white label on the base of one item is printed with the letters L L.
Condition report:
The items exhibit general signs of use and storage, including surface dust and light marking. The yellow mixing bowl shows visible staining and wear around the top rim. There is some internal debris visible in the base of the white tureen. The cut-glass bowl appears intact with no significant chips visible. Potential bidders should expect fine glaze crazing and minor stacking wear to the earthenware and porcelain pieces.
