Lot 258: An Assortment of Decorative Fine Bone China and Porcelain Tableware
A collection of assorted 20th-century ceramic tableware featuring various decorative patterns. The lot includes two nested deep bowls featuring a wide cobalt blue border with a gilded beaded rim and a transfer-printed interior fruit frieze depicting cherries and citrus. The assortment also contains a variety of tea cups, saucers, and a matching creamer decorated with a yellow and orange floral pattern and gilded highlights. A large fluted oval serving dish is present, decorated with pink rose sprays and a gilded rim. Additional items include small bowls and tea cups with a pink and blue floral garland border, and several plain white and floral-decorated creamers. The items are primarily of fine bone china and porcelain construction.
Condition report:
The collection shows signs of use and storage wear throughout. There is visible rubbing and loss to the gilded beaded rims of the cobalt blue fruit bowls. At least one saucer shows a small chip to the rim. Due to the loose packing, there is the potential for minor surface abrasions, light crazing, or small firing specks across the pieces. No significant repairs or restorations are immediately apparent.
