Lot 256: Two Ceramic Items Including a White Glazed Spherical Bowl and a Brown Glazed Lidded Pot
A collection of two ceramic items. The primary piece is a glazed ceramic bowl of globular form with a wide circular aperture. The exterior is finished in a glossy white glaze. The interior surface is decorated with a monochromatic grey or black transfer-printed botanical pattern, featuring various leaves and foliage. The second item is a stoneware lidded pot with a speckled brown glaze, a conical lid with a knob finial, and two small loop handles. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on either piece. An orange retail label with the handwritten number 256 is attached to the wooden board upon which the items are displayed.
Condition report:
Both items appear to be in good overall condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or repairs to either the white bowl or the brown lidded pot. Minor surface scuffing and light marking are present on the exterior of the white bowl consistent with handled use. The interior transfer print on the bowl is clear and intact.
