A collection of pewter table service and barware items, designed in a modernist mid-20th-century style. The group includes a tall, tapered pepper mill with a silver-toned metal grinding mechanism, multiple lidded condiment or mustard pots with hinged lids and notches for spoons, a shaker with a perforated domed top, a small pitcher with a loop handle, a cylindrical beaker, and a tall conical vessel. The items are constructed from spun and cast pewter. The base of one circular item is stamped with the marks GENUINE 95% TIN PEWTER within a rectangular border.
Pepper mill height approximately 22 cm to 24 cm.
Condition report:
The pieces exhibit a characteristic dull grey patina. Surface wear is present throughout, including fine scratches, scuffs, and minor tarnishing consistent with age and domestic use. Small, shallow dents are visible on the rims and bodies of several pieces, particularly the taller conical vessels. The grinder mechanism on the pepper mill shows some surface pitting.
