Live auction will start in __ days and __ hours

Start price: £2

Buyer's Premium:

A collection of mixed ceramics and collectibles primarily of British interest. Included is a white presentation box for a commemorative Bell’s Scotch Whisky decanter, specially distilled and matured to mark the birth of Prince William of Wales on 21st June 1982. The box is printed with a gold heraldic crest and an illustration of the bell-shaped ceramic decanter. The collection features a large circular Imari-style charger decorated with a central floral roundel and alternating panels of stylised flower baskets and floral sprigs in a palette of cobalt blue, iron red, and gilt. Also present is a blue transfer-printed earthenware plate featuring a romanticised topographical landscape with a grand building and mature trees, surrounded by an ornate scroll and foliage border on a wavy rim. A small white earthenware creamer is included, transfer-printed with a colourful representation of the Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom and the mottoes Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense and Dieu Et Mon Droit. Additional items include a plate with a floral and bird design, a dessert plate with orange and purple flowers and gilt geometric borders, and three turned wooden items with a polished finish.

Condition report:

The items are loose-packed in a commercial cardboard crate. The whisky box displays light surface wear and some scuffing to the corners. The creamer jug shows visible surface crazing and minor staining around the rim. The Imari-style charger appears to have minor gilt wear to the raised edge. General surface scratching and minor stacking wear are present across the collection consistent with age and storage.
