Lot 240b: A Pine Two-Part Dresser with Leaded Glazed Doors
A pine dresser of two-piece construction with a honey-toned finish. The upper hutch section features a projecting cornice over an open compartment with a single fixed shelf and a vertical tongue-and-groove back panel, set between shaped side supports. The lower sideboard base contains two drawers above a two-door cupboard. Each cupboard door is inset with clear glass featuring a dark-toned diamond-patterned leaded-effect lattice. The interior of the base unit is fitted with a single full-width shelf. The drawers and doors are fitted with polished brass-finish circular pull knobs. The unit stands on turned bun feet to the front.
Condition report:
The item is in good used condition. There are minor surface scuffs, shallow scratches, and small indentations consistent with age and domestic use, notably to the mid-tier surface. The wood exhibits natural grain variations and knots throughout.
