Lot 200: A Beswick Bullfinch Ceramic Bird Figurine Model 1042
A Beswick Bullfinch bird figurine, model number 1042, manufactured in England. The piece is made of glazed earthenware and depicts a male Bullfinch with a pink breast, black cap, and grey-black wings and tail. The bird is perched on a textured, brown-glazed tree stump base decorated with three hand-painted yellow flowers. The underside of the base features the printed black factory mark consisting of the Beswick bird logo, MADE IN ENGLAND, 1042, and BULLFINCH. A hand-painted black decorator mark consisting of the joined characters FA is also present on the underside.
Height: approximately 8.5 cm.
Condition report:
The figurine is in excellent condition, showing no signs of chips, cracks, crazing, or restoration. A small orange adhesive price label is located on the branch.
