Lot 184: Seiko Arched Dual Chime Pendulum Wall Clock
A Seiko quartz wall clock designed in the regulator style. The case is constructed from stained wood with an arched pediment and base. It features a hinged glass door decorated with a gilt-toned line border and corner scrollwork. The round dial has a white chapter ring with black Roman numeral hour markers and a brass-toned bezel. The centre of the dial features a decorative mother-of-pearl effect finish and is fitted with black ornate spade-and-scroll hands. The dial is marked with the Seiko brand name at the 9 o’clock position and cursive text reading Whittington above the centre arbor. Below the dial sits a swinging brass-toned pendulum. The clock utilizes a battery-operated quartz movement.
Condition report:
The wooden case and glass door appear to be in good overall condition with no visible cracks, chips, or significant abrasions. The dial and hands are well-preserved. The brass-toned finish on the pendulum remains bright. A small white circular sticker with the number 2 is present on the upper left of the case, and an orange sticker is attached to the glass. The movement and chime functions have not been tested for operational status.
