Lot 173: A Trio of Hand-Painted Ceramic Models comprising Royal Doulton Brambly Hedge and PenDelfin
This lot features a collection of three miniature ceramic structures including examples from the Royal Doulton Brambly Hedge series and the PenDelfin stonecraft range. The first item is a Royal Doulton Brambly Hedge building based on the illustrations of Jill Barklem, depicting a two-storey cottage with a thatched-effect roof and timber framing. A character figure of a mouse is positioned on the stone-effect base. This piece bears an incised mark for Jill Barklem and is marked Made in England. The second item is a PenDelfin stonecraft model titled The Fruit Shop, featuring a distinctive pink and white striped awning over a large bay window, set on a cobbled base. The third item is a PenDelfin stonecraft model titled The Schoolhouse (or The Schoolroom), designed with an open back to reveal a detailed interior including a blackboard with chalk drawings, a world map, and a bookshelf, topped with a bell tower and silver-tone bell. The bases of the structures are marked Made in England.

The collection appears to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs. There is some minor surface dust present in the recessed areas of the textured roofs and interior details. The polychrome painted finish remains bright and vibrant across all three pieces.
