Lot 140: A Collection of Poole Pottery Twintone and Hand Painted Ceramics
A collection of mid-century Poole Pottery ceramics produced in England. The set includes a large rectangular divided hors d’oeuvres tray with three compartments and integral swept handles, alongside a matching condiment set from the Twintone range. The condiment set consists of a boat-shaped tray, two teardrop-shaped shakers with varying hole configurations, and a small lidded pot. These pieces feature the Ice Green and Seagull (C95) matte glaze, combining a mottled grey finish with contrasting turquoise accents. Additionally, the collection contains three small circular earthenware plates decorated with hand-painted polychrome floral sprays and a purple dotted border. The base of the condiment pot displays a printed Poole dolphin mark with the word England and an impressed numeric mark 535.
Condition report:
The collection is in good overall condition. Surface dust and adhesive residue from price stickers are present across several items. The hand-painted plates show minor surface wear consistent with age and use. No significant damage such as chips or cracks was observed.
