Lot 102: A Set of Cathedral Crystal Cut Glass Wine Goblets
A set of six cut crystal wine goblets by Cathedral Crystal. The goblets feature tapered bowls decorated with a traditional deep-cut diamond and cross-hatch pattern to the lower half, transitioning into vertical wedge cuts. Each goblet is supported by a multi-faceted shaped stem on a plain, circular foot. The glass demonstrates high clarity and sharp edges characteristic of lead crystal. The set is presented in its original manufacturer’s box, which is lined with yellow satin-effect fabric. The box bears a black and gold foil label on the right-hand side, inscribed CRYSTAL and IMPORTED, with Cathedral written vertically in script. An orange rectangular inventory sticker numbered 102 is present on the lid.
Condition report:
The glassware is in excellent, likely unused condition with no visible chips, cracks, or clouding. The presentation box exhibits some minor external wear and scuffing consistent with age and storage.
