A collection of nine decorative cut glass and lead crystal tableware items, featuring various traditional patterns including starbursts, cross-cut diamonds, fan, and thumbnail motifs. The lot comprises a large spherical rose bowl, two tall cylindrical vases with geometric facets, and an oval-shaped basket bowl with an integrated central handle. Also included are two pedestal compotes of varying sizes with flared rims, a small handled cream jug, a circular dish or ashtray, and a footed sweetmeat dish. Several items retain small adhesive inventory labels marked with the numbers 91, 16, and 20. The high level of light refraction suggests the pieces are lead crystal, executed in a style consistent with 20th-century British manufacturers. One bowl contains a set of multi-coloured plastic cocktail sticks.
Condition report:
The items are in generally good condition with no significant chips or cracks visible upon inspection. As is typical for cut glassware, some minor age-related wear and occasional small flea bite chips to the sharper edges of the cut patterns may be present. There is no evidence of internal cloudiness or glass sickness.
