This large circular ceramic charger is decorated in the Turkish Kütahya style, featuring a dense, symmetrical polychrome underglaze pattern on a white ground. The design is executed with traditional Iznik motifs, incorporating stylised rumi split-leaf and hatayi floral blooms in a palette of cobalt blue, turquoise, sage green, and ochre yellow. The central composition radiates from a star-like focal point and is framed by a narrow geometric chain-link border in black and white. The outer rim features a repeating pattern of terracotta-coloured pointed arches. The piece exhibits hand-painted underglaze enamel work with characteristic soft blending of colours. Three adhesive labels are present on the decorated surface: one orange circular sticker marked 88 and two small white rectangular stickers each marked with the number 15. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on the face of the charger.
Condition report:
The charger is in very good condition with no visible chips, cracks, or signs of restoration. The glaze remains bright and retains a high gloss finish throughout the decorated surface.
