This lot comprises three ceramic items of British origin. The first is a mantle clock from the Royal Doulton Dickens Ware series, constructed from earthenware in an arched rectangular form. The front is decorated with a transfer-printed illustration of the character Bill Sikes from Oliver Twist, accompanied by a printed quote. The circular clock insert features a cream dial, black Arabic numerals, and a metallic-finish bezel. The second item is a bell-shaped earthenware decanter for Bell’s Old Scotch Whisky, finished in a two-tone chocolate brown and tan glaze with horizontal gilt bands. It is marked with the brand name and 70 degrees proof. The third item is a bulbous earthenware jug for Monarch Finest Scotch Whisky. The upper portion has a cream glaze with a black transfer-printed stag’s head and the brand name, while the lower section and handle are finished in a dark teal-green glaze. The jug is marked with a volume of 26 2/3 fl. ozs. and a strength of 70 degrees proof.
