Lot 536: A Rolled Gold Saint Christopher Pendant and Gold-Toned Chain
A gold-toned metal necklace consisting of a fine trace link chain and a detached pendant. The octagonal pendant features an embossed depiction of Saint Christopher carrying the Christ child, the traditional motif of the patron saint of travellers. The reverse of the pendant is vertically stamped with the words ROLLED GOLD. The chain is fitted with a spring ring clasp and features a small rectangular metal tag near the closure with markings that are not clearly legible. A handwritten note on the storage bag indicates that the chain has no stamp, suggesting a lack of precious metal hallmarks on this component.
Condition report:
The item is in fair condition. The pendant is currently detached from the chain and the chain is tangled. There is visible surface wear and minor tarnishing consistent with age and use. Sold as found.
