Lot 534: A Collection of Sterling Silver and Mixed Metal Jewellery including Bangles, Rings, and a Locket
A collection of assorted jewellery items including bangles, rings, a locket on a chain, and a bar brooch. A hinged bangle is constructed of sterling silver and features a safety chain. It bears British hallmarks for the Birmingham Assay Office, including the maker’s mark W.H.S, the lion passant, the anchor, and a date letter. A second bangle is of a plain, expandable circular design in white metal. The rings include a multi-stone cluster design, a ring set with a large emerald-cut clear stone in a four-prong setting, and a ring featuring a small oval cameo-style cabochon. A heart-shaped locket in yellow metal with engraved detailing is suspended from a fine white metal link chain. The collection also contains a yellow metal bar brooch with a decorative scrolled profile.
Condition report:
Items exhibit surface tarnish and light scratches consistent with age and regular use. The hinged bangle mechanism and safety chain appear functional. The stones in the rings appear secure in their settings but show minor facet wear. No significant damage or repairs are visible.
