Lot 509: A Collection of UK Commemorative and Definitive Cupro-Nickel 50 Pence Coins
A collection of British heptagonal 50 pence coins composed of cupro-nickel. The assembly includes a variety of commemorative and definitive reverse designs, notably featuring multiple 2012 Olympic Sports motifs, the Battle of Britain commemorative, the Victoria Cross medal design, and the standard Royal Shield of Arms and seated Britannia motifs. The obverse sides display various effigies of Queen Elizabeth II with associated Latin inscriptions. The coins are presented in clear plastic collector sheets, one of which contains a small white label with the printed digits 5 5.
