A vintage military bayonet featuring a single-edged steel blade with a deep fuller running the majority of its length. The hilt comprises a steel crossguard with an integrated muzzle ring, two-piece wooden grip scales secured by rivets, and a bird’s head style steel pommel with an attachment latch mechanism. The general form is consistent with Mauser-style export bayonets, such as the Japanese Type 30 or Siamese Type 45 patterns. A small white adhesive label bearing the numeral 5 is present on the wooden grip.

The item is in relic condition, exhibiting heavy, pervasive oxidation and deep pitting across all metallic surfaces including the blade, guard, and pommel. The wooden grip scales are weathered and darkened with age. No scabbard is present.
