Lot 476: A late 20th-century twin-pedestal pine computer desk, in the style of Ducal
This is a modern twin-pedestal computer desk constructed from solid pine, characteristic of country-style furniture from the late 20th century. The design features a rectangular pine top over a central pull-out keyboard or document slide. The configuration includes two pedestals: the left-hand pedestal contains a single frieze drawer above an open compartment designed for a computer tower, featuring an internal runner; the right-hand pedestal consists of a single cupboard door. The desk is fitted with simple turned wooden knobs. The construction utilizes solid pine with visible natural knots throughout. A small white adhesive inventory label with the numbers 20 20 is affixed to the top right corner of the surface. No maker’s marks or stamps were found during inspection, though the design is consistent with pieces produced by Ducal.

The desk is currently shown lying on its back in a storage environment. It exhibits general signs of use and age, including surface scratches, scuffs to the edges and base, and minor indentations to the timber. The overall structure appears sound and functional.
