Lot 467: A Pair of Contemporary Pine Three-Drawer Bedside Chests
A pair of contemporary bedside chests of drawers constructed from solid knotty pine with a clear finish. Each chest features a rectangular top with a moulded edge above a bank of three drawers. The drawer fronts are detailed with matching moulded borders and are fitted with turned pine knob handles. Each unit is supported on a simple, integrated plinth base. No maker’s marks or stamps are visible on the exterior of the pieces. Both chests currently bear temporary adhesive inventory stickers.
Condition report:
The chests are in used condition with visible surface wear. The tops show various scratches, scuffs, and water rings. There is minor scuffing and small indentations to the plinth bases and drawer edges consistent with domestic use.
