Lot 396: A Vintage Stained Pine Folding Library Step Ladder
A vintage folding library step ladder constructed from stained pine with metal hardware, in the style of late 19th-century examples. The ladder features a series of horizontal rungs leading to a flat top platform. A diagonal cross-brace is fixed to the exterior side rail. The wooden frame shows remains of various finishes and scattered white paint splatters. Two small adhesive labels are present on the frame, including a white sticker marked 15 15 and an orange sticker marked 3.00.
Condition report:
Displays signs of ageing and heavy practical use. The wooden surfaces exhibit scuffing, weathering, and numerous white paint splatters throughout. Metal hinges and hardware show surface oxidisation.
