This lot consists of two pieces of cut lead crystal, comprising a tall trumpet-shaped vase and a shorter bulbous-form vase. The tall vase features a dense diamond-cut pattern on the lower body transitioning into vertical mitre flutes towards the flared rim, finished with a radial star cut to the base. This design is highly reminiscent of the Shaftesbury pattern produced by Stuart Crystal. The smaller vase displays vertical fluting on the neck, a central band of diamond cross-hatching, and large square-block facets around the lower body. Both items exhibit the clarity and precision associated with high-quality lead crystal production. Temporary inventory stickers are attached to the exterior of both pieces. No acid-etched maker marks were detected.
Condition report:
Both items are in good overall condition. The crystal remains clear and bright with no visible chips, cracks, or significant surface wear.
