A traditional style fireplace companion set constructed from black-painted iron. The set consists of a central stand with a four-legged base, supporting three individual tools. These include a pair of fire tongs with loop handles, a shovel with a curved guard, and a hearth brush with black bristles. The handles and base appear to be of cast construction, while the tool shafts are made of wrought iron. There are no visible maker marks or stamps on the metal surfaces. The items currently carry a bright orange lot sticker numbered 251 and a smaller white sticker numbered 15.
