A pair of glazed ceramic figurines depicting a male lion and a lioness. Both animals are modelled in reclining or crouching positions upon naturalistic textured bases finished in a green glaze to represent grass. The figures feature a high-gloss glaze with a warm tawny, orange-brown colouration. The male lion is distinguished by a prominent mane, while the lioness is depicted with smooth, sleek features.
No factory marks, backstamps, or model numbers are visible on either piece. Stylistically, the figurines resemble mid-20th-century ceramic animal models produced by British manufacturers such as Beswick or Coopercraft. Both items bear small white adhesive labels numbered 5 and orange labels numbered 23, which appear to be temporary inventory or auction markers.
