Lot 181: Two Vintage Jetsave Promotional Flight Bags, circa 1970s-1980s
Two vintage promotional shoulder bags for the British travel company Jetsave. The bag is constructed from navy blue synthetic fabric with a white vinyl front panel. The front features a vertical band of blue stars alongside red stripes, referencing the flag of the United States. To the right of the graphic, the company name Jetsave is printed in red sans-serif type, above the slogan Simply the best value in travel in blue. The bag is fitted with a matching navy blue shoulder strap and a metal top zipper. Jetsave was a prominent UK-based low-cost travel operator active during the late 20th century, known for transatlantic holiday packages.
Condition report:
The bag is in used vintage condition. There is visible surface soiling, scuffing, and dark staining across the white vinyl front panel. The navy blue fabric sections show typical signs of age and wear. The zipper and strap are present and functional.
