A mid-20th-century ladies’ mid-length coat by Lucille, dating approximately to the 1960s or 1970s. The garment is constructed from a champagne-coloured faux fur, featuring horizontal panel construction designed to emulate the appearance of worked mink pelts. The coat is styled with a prominent shawl collar and wide notched lapels. It features a front fastening of three decorative domed buttons, each finished with a textured radial sunburst motif. The interior is fully lined with a coordinating tan-coloured satin-effect fabric. At the inner neckline, there is a black fabric label with the name Lucille embroidered in gold script, accompanied by a secondary white tag indicating a vintage size 10.
Condition report:
The coat is in good vintage condition. The faux fur pile remains consistent with a healthy lustre and shows no obvious signs of balding or significant wear to the collar, cuffs, or edges. The interior lining appears well-preserved with no visible tears or heavy staining in the accessible areas. All three decorative buttons are present and securely attached. An orange lot tag is pinned to the collar.
