Lot 157a: A five-way jointed teddy bear with floral patterned accents, attributed to FAO Schwarz
A five-way jointed teddy bear, attributed to the FAO Schwarz 160th Anniversary collection. The bear is constructed from a golden-brown plush with articulation at the neck, shoulders, and hips. It is notably decorated with a multicoloured floral and foliate patterned fabric on the paw pads, the interior of the ears, and a matching fixed bow tie. This patterned fabric is characteristic of Liberty of London Tana Lawn designs. The bear features two dark, inset eyes. No original manufacturer tags or labels are visible on the bear. An orange rectangular inventory sticker bearing the alphanumeric code 157A is present on the sole of the right foot.
Condition report:
The bear is in good, clean condition. The golden-brown plush is well-preserved with no evidence of thinning, matting, or loss. The decorative fabric on the ears, paws, and bow tie remains vibrant and intact with no visible fraying or wear. The joints are secure and the eyes are firmly attached.
