A signed colour print after an original watercolour by Sir William Russell Flint RA (1880-1969), possibly entitled Beyond the Walls. The work depicts several women in a rustic, stone-walled interior, likely a communal wash-house, rendered in the artist’s characteristic style. The piece is executed on textured paper and is hand-signed in pencil by the artist in the lower right margin. The artwork is housed in a gilt-finished frame with a double mount and is protected by glass.
Condition report:
The paper displays light toning and noticeable mat burn along the edges of the mount. There are some minor surface abrasions and wear to the gilt finish of the frame. The piece has not been examined out of the frame.
