A pair of handmade studio pottery stoneware chamber candlestick holders. Each piece features a wide, flat saucer-style drip tray with a central cylindrical holder for a taper candle and a single loop handle for carrying. The items are finished in a pale oatmeal crackle glaze with irregular dark brown mottled decoration and toasted earthy tones, characteristic of reduction-fired studio ceramics. No maker’s marks or factory backstamps are visible. The items currently bear temporary auction labels including a white sticker numbered 20 and an orange sticker numbered 811.
Condition report:
The candlestick holders appear to be in good overall condition. There is heavy crazing throughout the glaze, which is an intentional decorative feature of the studio pottery style. No chips, cracks, or repairs are visible from the provided angle.
