Lot 71: A Trio of Cobalt Blue and Sage Green Neoclassical Jasperware Items
This group lot comprises three pieces of decorative stoneware in the neoclassical jasperware style, likely of British manufacture and in the style of Wedgwood. The collection includes a cylindrical biscuit barrel with a cobalt blue ground, featuring white sprigged relief decoration depicting a central frieze of classical figures beneath a band of floral garlands and ribbons. The barrel is fitted with a silver-plated or base-metal rim and a swing handle. Also included is a cobalt blue rose bowl or potpourri jar of globular form, decorated with sprigged neoclassical figures and fitted with a matching blue stoneware lid featuring multiple circular perforations and white floral sprigging. The third piece is a small vase or candlestick base in dark sage green jasperware, featuring a flared base and narrow neck, decorated with white sprigged floral and foliate motifs. No factory marks or backstamps are visible on the pieces.
Condition report:
The items appear to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or significant repairs. The metal components of the biscuit barrel show surface tarnishing and wear consistent with age.
