Lot 641: Single-seat sit-in rotomoulded plastic kayak with paddle
This single-seat, sit-in kayak is constructed from rotomoulded plastic with a weathered mustard-yellow finish. The vessel features a moulded cockpit coaming and a rounded hull design consistent with late 20th-century river kayaks. Included with the kayak is one paddle featuring a wooden shaft and dark-coloured synthetic blades. A length of braided rope is attached to the bow. There are no clearly legible manufacturer marks, model names, or Hull Identification Numbers (HIN) visible on the exterior; a small, weathered sticker is present on the cockpit rim but the text is not discernible.
Condition report:
The kayak is in used condition with significant evidence of outdoor storage. The plastic hull shows extensive surface weathering, ingrained grime, and numerous scuffs and scratches consistent with regular use and exposure. The structural integrity and seaworthiness of the vessel have not been tested. The wooden paddle shows wear to the finish and signs of age.
