Lot 882: A Collection of British Sterling Silver and Enamel Souvenir Spoons
A collection of six British sterling silver teaspoons, each featuring decorative polychrome enamelled finials. The collection comprises pieces representing various locations and organisations across the United Kingdom and Ireland: one spoon with a double-shield finial for Dublin and Cardiff; one spoon for the Ladies Circle – Great Britain & Ireland featuring a central rose emblem; one spoon for the City of Chester with a heraldic shield; one pictorial spoon for Mumbles Head showing a coastal scene; and two spoons for the City of Glasgow with the city coat of arms. Each spoon bears British hallmarks including the lion passant for sterling silver purity and the anchor for the Birmingham Assay Office. Maker’s marks include B.B.S.Ld for Barker Brothers Silver Ltd and T & S for Turner & Simpson.

The collection is in good overall condition with light surface scratches and minor tarnishing consistent with age and handling.
