A set of six silver-plated teaspoons manufactured by the Sheffield firm Cooper Brothers and Sons Ltd. The spoons are designed with Art Deco influence, featuring straight-edged handles that terminate in a faceted, angular point. Each spoon is stamped on the reverse of the handle with the maker mark CB&S and the standard EPNS mark for electro-plated nickel silver within a lozenge-shaped punch. The set is presented in a fitted black textured case with a cream satin lid lining and a black velvet-lined base containing individual slots.
Weight: 14.91g (single spoon).
Condition report:
The spoons show visible surface tarnishing and minor age-related wear. The silver plating appears to be largely intact across the set, though polishing is required to restore the finish. The presentation case shows minor external shelf wear. The interior satin lining displays some light discolouration and foxing consistent with the age of the set.
